Lactic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that effectively exfoliates skin, leaving you with a visibly even, glowing appearance. Different to most AHAs, The Ordinary Lactic Acid 5% + HA is gentle on skin thanks to purified Tasmanian pepperberry, which minimises inflammation and sensitivity that is often associated with exfoliation.
Made to be kind to skin, the lightweight pH of 3.8 matches the pKa strength of lactic acid, preventing further irritation while maximising the acid's exfoliating effect.

This oil-like formula is a more delicate version of The Ordinary's Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2%, with half the concentration it is a great option if you found the 10% version too strong. Exfoliation can be too harsh for some complexions, so The Ordinary has created a no-rub product with more gentle exfoliation to suit those with normal skin types.
The formula is stored in a glass bottle with a pipette function for easy-use, so you'll never over apply.
How To Use It
Use once a day. Apply to a dry face, ideally in the evening. If necessary, you can dilute this product with other treatments until the skin builds up a tolerance. Use sunscreen for a week after using this product.
