The Ordinary Retinol 0.2% in Squalane serum is the lowest concentration out of their retinol products. Also known as vitamin a, the 0.2% retinol works to minimise wrinkles, evens out skin tone and revitalises its appearance. Alongside, squalane, which helps to hydrate and soothe the skin while using this serum.
Another quality about retinol that should be noted is that it encourages cell turnover, which means that it delivers renewed and healthy skin, while also minimising blemishes for a more youthful, unified and rejuvenated complexion.
Why We Love It
Retinoids were first used as an acne treatment over fifty years ago but researchers discovered that it also minimises dark spots, which makes it a great treatment anyone with hyperpigmentation. As retinol is an incredibly powerful ingredient, it's recommended that you start with this lower concentration until your skin builds up a tolerance to it. So, this 0.2% solution is perfect if you've never used it before! The potency is also easy to control thanks to the pipette which ensures you don't apply too much.
How To Use It
Using the pipette, apply a small amount to face during the evening, after water-based serums but before heavier treatments. Don't use this formula with other retinoid treatments. Use sun protection following the use of this product.
Note: Irritation will occur until your skin has built up a tolerance to this product. If irritation persists stop using.
